Happy Hogmanay Lads and Lassies!

Hurrah hurrah! Hurrah for Israel!!

Well my dear friends, this week has been wonderful. I hope you all were able to have beautiful a Christmas and a fabulous time celebrating the New Year! The big 2020!

Christmas for Sister Guilain and I was great! We spent most of the day with a member, and some of her family members and friends came over for dinner. It was so great! We had so much yummy yummy food.

On Boxing Day (the day after), President and Sister Macdonald challenged us all to do some indexing, and invited each zone to run/walk a combined marathon. So each individual team in our zone did around one -two miles. It was actually so great! I haven't run just to run since my third transfer so it was good for me.

We had so many miracles this week! We were able to schedule one of our friends for baptism! When I first met her she said she'd never be baptised because she didn't want to give up some things in order to live the commandments, but now she seems so willing and excited for baptism!

We've also been let into a few homes as we've been out chapping, and got two new people to teach out of it! One was the sister of someone we've been teaching for a little while. We were just chapping a line of doors, and a woman let us in, and while we were talking she mentioned her sister, and we found out that it was our friend! It was so crazy!!

Another one was when we tried by a less-active's home. She wasn't in, and Sister Guilain got in the car to drive to another one. I saw two little kids waving and smiling at us through a window, and had the thought to go over and chap that door. So I told Sister Guilain and off we went. A woman answered the door and we started talking with her, and were able to set up an appointment for tomorrow! It was so amazing! We had the best feeling after that.

All these Christmas miracles! Wow! I'm excited for this next week too. It's gonna be the BEST WEEK EVER.

I'm so grateful for my mission experience. My heart fills whenever I reflect on the past 18 months. So many experiences, so many lives, so many Spirit-touched moments. I know I'll treasure my time here forever. Really, it's a bit bittersweet to think about leaving. It'll be exciting to use what I've learned while on my mission to help me as I keep going through life.

I'm so grateful for this Gospel. I'm grateful for this opportunity I've had to be a missionary and to serve the Lord with my whole heart and soul. I'm grateful for Jesus Christ. He's changed me, He's changed so many, and I love Him for that. It's a beautiful thing to be able to see His hand in the lives around you. I LOVE MY MISSION!!

And I love you all! Have a great week!
Love, Sister Syphus x

P.S. I'll be giving my homecoming talk in church on the 12th of January at 9:00am. The address is 1784 Diamond Valley Drive, 84770. You're all more than welcome! I'd love to see you there

we visited the home/castle of Sir Walter Scott today. Ginormous and beautiful. Don't know if I'd want to live there though...
