Heyo!

It was another great week! We had a zone cluster on Tuesday, and I saw Sister Wilkinson and her trainee. It was a sweet reunion :) We talked about a few different things: expanding our mission (and life) vision, teaching conversationally (most of you know about the missionary voice--I hate that), and reactivation efforts with the help of members! It was such an awesome meeting. That morning we also got separated from Sister Oren. We left her in Glasgow with the STLs then came back to Cumbernauld. At first I was a little wary about how things would be without our third wheeler, since she was the main talker haha, but we transitioned fast and it's been so great. We have so many laughs. Sister Desoloc is quiet, but hilarious :)

Tuesday evening, we went to teach James, a returning member. I mentioned him briefly last week, but yes, he wants us to come over every week and begin teaching him all the lessons again. He's quite the talker though, so it'll be hard to get through them We brought a Sister from the ward, and she was an amazing help. We talked a lot about prayer, because that's something he's struggling to do again. He can't even seem to will himself to get on his knees, let alone talk to someone he doesn't know is there or not. James told us about coming into contact with the church and how it completely changed his life for the better after he was baptised, but when he noticed the imperfect members, he started overthinking and asking doubt-filled questions. That eventually drew him away, because he couldn't feel the Spirit like he used to. Now he wants to get to the place where he can feel the Spirit again. He's trying, and it's amazing, and he came to church yesterday!!! There were lots of welcomes from the members :)

Ooh, here's a cool random story for you! We had coordination meeting with our Ward Mission Leader, and he and his wife were telling us about their two sons on missions. They reported to the SAME mission a few months after the other, and served together as companions for a while! How crazy is that!? I would've loved to be able to serve with one of my siblings. What a cool experience haha.

Anyway, we taught a few more lessons this week. We don't have anyone really progressing right now, but we're working on it and have faith! We do have a neighbor who always sits on some cushions right inside her front door with her dog. She's so sweet and funny. Whenever we go chapping around the area we say hi. She made us promise to come back before we leave so she can say goodbye and make us smoothies. She isn't interested in God yet, but I hope she will be one day.

On Saturday we went to the Peace Garden to help weed. It's a beautiful garden dedicated as a memorial for those who died in the world wars. Apparently missionaries have been going there to help out most weeks for the past few years. There were quite a few older people. And the director is an old man named Bobby, who reminded me so much of James Lynch in Montrose. Such a funny, cheeky man. We have a little tea, coffee, and hot chocolate break, and they have one of us pray over it. This time, Sister Desoloc wanted to give a little spiritual thought from the Book of Mormon. It was so sweet :)

That's most of the week in a nutshell for you! We've had hot days and rainy days, and days with lots of door knocking and tender mercies every day. The Lord is so eager to bless us, and I feel it.

I love you all!
Until next week!
