"Do or do not. There is no try."
Hello hello everyone! It's been another fab week in Derry! The biggest thing. Shane moved up his baptism from the eighth of June to the second! So this Sunday! AAHHHH. He's so amazing. We taught the Word of Wisdom and about following the Prophet with a couple of members, and he loved all of it. He didn't have any problems with the Word of Wisdom, which is definitely a blessing. He used to, however, drink tea and coffee up until a few weeks ago, when he asked about it, and we told him that we didn't drink them. He quit right then and didn't tell us until we taught him more about it! I'm so grateful that God is trusting us with one of His precious, incredibly prepared children. Shane is a miracle. We taught him a few more times this week, and right now he's in the process of telling all of his family members about his baptism. He doesn't think a couple of them will take it incredibly well, so we've been praying hard, and know he has been too. He's excited and determined though! We'll be seeing him tonight. :)
That's the biggest update. We also saw Joel again yesterday, and taught the Plan of Salvation and encouraged him pretty strongly to come to church. So hopefully he does that! :)
I also talked in Sacrament Meeting yesterday, and I was so nervous. My heart was beating so fast and I felt like I was gonna throw up, but as soon as I stood up and started being my spastic self I was fine. I chose to speak on Jeffrey R. Holland's April 2016 General Conference call "Tomorrow the Lord will do Wonders Among You." I LOVE THAT TALK SO MUCH. And it fit with so many things I've heard or said or was reminded of over the past couple of weeks, so it was pretty neat. One was the heading quote of my email from Yoda! I may have misquoted it because I've never seen Star Wars. We had been joking around with Shane with that quote, and then I got to thinking as I read the talk, that we can try! And that's what matters. We're not perfect, and sometimes we may not end up doing or being. But because of Jesus Christ and His Atonement, we just need to try our best, and He'll make up the rest! Only the second time my whole mission that I've been asked to give a talk, and the first in this ward! And I've been here for six months! Funny funny :) But that was good, and then we taught our first Relief Society lesson ever! I was so scared.
But yes, there's the main bit for our week. It's been grand! I love you all and miss you so much! Be good and happy!

The walls of Derry have loads of cannons. We explored them this morning. :)
There was this funny sign on the wall of a pretty schnazzy cafe
And there's a painting thing of a show called Derry Girls, and you know, I'm a Derry girl/sister too!
