Feelin' like I'm a 100 years old.
HELLO EVERYONE!!
I'm staying in Derry for a fifth transfer! I'm so excited for what this next transfer may hold. And I'm ecstatic that I get to finish training Sister Wilkinson. She's an ANGEL. Wants to work so hard and tries to do whatever she can to improve. I've been so so blessed.
Physically, this week wasn't too good for me. I've been stiff and achey and feeling fractured in different places haha. Mission office thinks it's a viral infection. It should go away soon!
We've still been going out every day though! As we've lost ourselves in the work, we've been able to see miracles. One was Shane. We were about to head into a wee cafe for lunch when I saw a woman and thought to GQ her. I told Sister Wilkinson, "one more person!" and went to talk with her. She quickly passed and ignored the question and card held out. :) Sister Wilkinson in the meantime had approached a guy right behind the lady I tried talking to, and struck up a conversation with him. I tried talking with a few others, but no one seemed to want to stop. So, after I saw my wee companion gesture over to me, I meandered over and joined their conversation. Shane has a mixed-religious background and has studied a bit many different religions. He has read the Book of Mormon and really liked it, and appreciates how well it adds and complements the Bible. He believes all religious texts are inspired. He also had an RM friend who told him a bit about the Church. We set up an appointment for this week, and since we've been contacting each other every day. Most days he begins the conversation. We're so excited for his potential and desire to come unto His Savior and learn more of His truth!!
We also had stake conference yesterday. It was amazing! So so good. They talked about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our incredible worth, the great potential of the rising generation, and MISSIONARY WORK! It was so cool! Unity and service were emphasized. The Stake President used Elder Bednar's analogy of the strands of a rope winding together, and expressed that as we as a Stake come together in love and unity, we can strengthen each other and those around us! Through service and example and charity, we can bring souls to Christ.
There were so many beautiful thoughts expressed. I LOVE MY MISSION. AND I LOVE IRELAND. AND SCOTLAND. AND THE PEOPLE. AND THE GREEN. AND I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK. I hope you all come to feel or do feel the love for it. It's the most incredible thing in the world. The most important and joyful work in the world.
Have a beautiful week and day and month! I love you all!! Stay safe and happy!
