Sorry for being MIA last week! We were exploring the Giant's Causeway, and it took up most of our P-day! It was really fun. We went with most of our district and with a few others in the zone. One of the Elders had also served in Montrose before, and had been really craving Helen Stronach's chocolate cake. I had got an in with her "secret" recipe, so I made it and carried it in my wee backpack. So my back's broke now. Ha jkjk.
The last two weeks have been great! And super busy, especially the last little while. We're still meeting with our Syrian family every week. They've been feeding us dinner, and making لذيذ Syrian food. I've also learned a few Arabic words and phrases, so that's awesome! They came to church last week and loved it, and came to our Easter Breakfast this morning. Man, I love them so much. I'm hoping and praying that they accept the Gospel.
We also met a guy named Rio last week, and have had some really awesome, spirit-filled lessons. Let me just say, God's love is SO REAL. My testimony of that has grown so much since beginning my mission. Rio was able to feel that, and it was amazing.
Joel's been reading the Book of Mormon. We marked several spots in it for him to read and wrote brief synopses (is that how you do the plural form?) for each one. He's really enjoyed them and wants to read more, but won't stray into reading on his own yet. So we've been giving him more to read, and following up on it. Hopefully we'll see him this week.
And yas! It's been a fabulous, bright, sunny, warm week! I took off my tights and got my ugly strappy shoes on and am not wearing my coat around anymore! HALLELUJAH! It's great, cept my legs are shockingly pale and blotchy. Oh well, what's new??
