Good week in Derry! (I can't think of anything clever...)
Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well!
I'm a little crunched for time, so this one'll prolly be a bit short. This week was really good! We got the new elders in our area, and have been able to show them around a bit. They seem to be really great missionaries, and I'm sure this area's going to spark up with them here to help us!
We've been spicing up our Gqing this week, by walking around the city centre and strolling by the river rather than just staying in one area. It's been a nice change:) Still, not too many stop to talk with us, but both Sister Cox and I can feel a miracle coming on!
Funny thing that happened yesterday. Our organist was out of town, so Mike asked Sister Cox and I to take care of the music. They had a piano in the chapel that plays hymns, so I took charge of pressing the button. Well. We were singing Praise to the Man and apparently it was too fast for the ward to keep up with (I'll admit, it was a bit fast, but still). They were like five measures behind the WHOLE TIME, so I finally turned off the piano and they sang the rest a cappella haha. It KILLED me. I got the whole tempo thing figured out for the other hymns, so it was okay after that. BUT OH MY GOODNESS. The rest of our church meetings were really nice though. :)
We're going to be passing Anthony over to the Elders, just so he can have a change. It can be difficult to teach sometimes. He just always wants to deviate into regular conversation. So after church we had a lesson with him and the Elders. He doesn't really believe Christ to be the literal Son of God (baptised? how?) So we spent an hour testifying and talking about the importance of Him being the Son of God. At the end he said it made sense, so, I hope he'll get there soon!!
It's been a good week :) It can be hard to get out of the flat in the morning sometimes, but when I get outside talking to people, it's the best feeling in the world! There's nothing like spending your day doing all you can to serve the Lord!
I love you all! Stay safe and be happy and recognize the Lord's hand in your life this week!
