Toilet Problems.

This week has been crazy! We headed home late Monday night after getting Sister Wu from the bus station. She's so cute by the way. She really is super short, so most of the time I feel like she's my age or younger than me, but she's actually almost 26! She's been teaching me how to introduce myself in Mandarin. I love her so much already. Except for when she makes me run in the mornings.

Anyway, after we got to Montrose, we had to lug the three sisters' luggage all the way to our flat 15 minutes away. It took us almost an hour. Plus we have lots of stairs, so it took us about 20 or so minutes to get them up there. We were exhausted and pouring sweat afterward and it was horrible. Since Arbroath is staying with us, our flat, though pretty big, has become super crowded with all their suitcases lying around. It's been giving me anxiety attacks haha. I can't handle messes. And then to top it all off, the second day someone clogged the toilet, and since the hole is really big, none of our plungers worked. So we haven't had a working toilet for a week. We've been contacting the mission office to try and get a plumber, but with no luck so far. Hopefully one will be coming in today. The nearest public toilet is at Tesco 15 minutes away, so for exercise every morning we make a Tesco run. It's miserable. ALSO. Our bus passes haven't been working for weeks, so I've spent around £100 on bus tickets, and since the card system is down at the mission office, I haven't been able to get reimbursed. All four of us have no more money on our mission cards, and Sister Hill (an Arbroath sister) lost her wallet, so those of us with cards have been using our personal funds. It's crazy over here in Scotland! We're all dirt poor and toiletless. And we'll probably be housing Arbroath until Halloween since they're struggling to get the flat in Arbroath. So. Much. Fun! I really do love them though. I'll think I'll end up missing them when they move.

Sister Wu and I had a miracle this week! We were on our way back to our flat after GQing, when I said hi to a guy passing by. I didn't think he would stop to look at me, but he did! We had a nice conversation, and he agreed to meet with us the next day! His name's Ross, and he's so great. He loves nature and seems to be kind of an eco-freak (in a good way). He's concerned with the world and the people suffering, and sees Jesus Christ as the perfect example to follow and become, though he doesn't necessarily seem to believe Him to be the Son of God. We met in a coffee shop (much to Bishop's horror when he was told the following Sunday haha) and discussed the first half of the first lesson. He had lots of concerns and questions, but seemed to like the answers we had for him. He also came to church on Sunday! He knew a couple of members who taught him when he was in school, so there were some nice connections, and he really seemed to enjoy it.

We also met with Ryan this week and talked about the Restoration. Sister Wu asked him for his conversion story, and through it he just kept on testifying of his knowledge that God loves him and that Joseph Smith really was a prophet. It's so amazing to see his progression! He also bought a white shirt for church and will begin passing the sacrament next week. It was sweet to see a twelve year old boy teaching a big man how to do it after church yesterday :)

This week has been stressful but good with many small miracles, and the members continue to amaze me! We visited the Dibdins and they STILL have our heart attack on the inside of their door more than a month later! My heart melted.

Sister Wu is so great, and I'm excited to continue working with and loving her. We're all hoping and praying that I'll stay for Christmas haha! A lot of the members and the three sisters think I will. Fingers crossed!

Love you all! And I hope you have a wonderful week! Thank you for everything!
