SyphWus

Hello hello dear family and friends! I hope your week has been wonderifically fantastic! Mine has been!

After we got home from emailing last week the plumber came and he fixed our toilet! YAS! We spent 10 minutes dumping lemon scented bleach down the toilet and filling the bathtub with it and hot water (since we put the nasty plungers in there) and scrubbed em down real good. We also bought some Glade air freshener and sprayed it thoroughly, and it was absolutely glorious. I've never been happier my whole life. Besides that, last p-day was the most stressful, hectic days of my mission, since so many problems in the mission home were going on. Some more good news though! We were able to get reimbursed! But I'm poor again because I had to pay for our gas and electricity, and our bus passes still weren't working at the beginning of the week. They are now though so THANK GOODNESS.

On Tuesday, President and Sister Macdonald came to our flat to have interviews with us. They were oohing and awwing when they came in because our flat's the BEST, and we made sure to clean it really well the day before. I had a really nice talk with him :)

On Wednesday we went to Aberdeen for our Scotland North Mission Conference, and that was a spirit-filled four hours, like always. We talked a lot about working with members, staying connected to the vine of Jesus Christ, and building a Celestial Culture, centered on teaching repentance and baptising converts. President Macdonald used a bunch of scriptures to emphasize that last point, and it was so cool! It was so powerful, and I was brought to tears. If any of you want more details on it, let me know, and I'll go more into depth with it for you. He's amazing.

We had another rc lesson with Ryan this week, and he's still doing so well. During Sacrament Meeting yesterday, I was sitting on the stand as I was going to give a talk, and Ryan passed the Sacrament for the first time. Me and the first counselor of the Bishopbric, Bro Henderson, made eye contact, with both our eyes sparkling, and I just watched Ryan with a huge grin on my face as he went around the congregation. It was a really sweet, touching moment to watch him, and think about how much the Savior has changed his life. After church today we set up to meet with Ryan again on Wednesday with Bishop and his family! It's gonna be so good!

We also saw Sarah this week. She's been a big stinker bum and has been ignoring my texts and calls for the past few weeks. We were in Laurencekirk the other day, and so I called her, and left a looong voice mail, to which she promptly responded with a text. We walked to her house and spent a little while visiting with her. She told us that she MIGHT start coming back to church at the beginning of the year when it's shortened to two hours. She knows the church is true, and she talks about baptism like it's a for sure thing for her... eventually, but she doesn't even try! It's so frustrating!

I know this email's running long, like all of mine do, but just have one little miracle to share. Sister Wu and I have been trying to visit less actives this week. We chapped on Anne and Doug's door, and they answered. After introducing ourselves, they told us that they weren't going to come back to church because of something they disagreed with (we're thinking it's tithing). Anne was very nice, but she closed the door on us, and we left. Sister Wu then had the prompting to go back and ask to set up an appointment with them, so we did. I'm the kind of person who hates awkward encounters, but who am I to deny the Spirit? We went and knocked again, and Anne seemed a little wary, but we set up to see them on Tuesday! They keep on insisting that they won't come back, and seemed a little hesitant to have us over, but they did, and we're gonna bring them the Spirit! SISTER WU. I love her!

Lots more went on, but that's all I'll tell you. I feel bad for always going on and on because I know that most of you probably skip through them anyway. I hope none of you feel like you have to stay on my email list if all these are doing are filling up your inbox! Let me know! I love you all! Have a wonderful week!
